The music won her. But the word and anointing kept her. Just 20 years old, Minister Melissa joined Bet HaShem YHWH Worldwide Ministries in March 2005. Having dropped out of college, she felt stagnant, yet she longed for success. Like many young, unwed mothers, she struggled to provide a decent life for herself and 9-month-old son, D'Ante. Soon after visiting the ministry, she joined a bible study led by one of the fivefold leaders, Pastor Kelvin Delosangeles. Attending bible study, she craved more word and personal development. She found that enrichment in the weekly scripture and leadership class taught by Bishop Pernell, the ministry's senior pastor and founder. As the Bishop was faithful to preach, the word began to take root in her spirit. She grew to see the Bishop as a spiritual father and mentor in the Good News. Compelled by her calling and purpose, she co-labored with the saints and evangelized throughout Perth Amboy, East Orange, Bloomfield and Newark. Minister Melissa also walked in her passion for music as a frontline member of the Praise & Worship Ensemble. As well, she danced and worshipped with the Yahwistics dance ministry.

Yet, her greatest gift was yet to be revealed and cultivated. With creative brilliance, she dazzled as a spoken word artist under the guidance of Dr. Apostle Chris, visionary founder of YAHSpeak, an elite spoken word troupe housed under the ministry. Empowered through her gift, she has graced many stages as a Speakite and distinguished herself on the poetry circuit. With heart-soaked verses and clever prose, her work is steeped in her Jamaican heritage and culled from her most intimate triumphs and defeats. Still, she rises and as she is known in the arts, Jedi Master aka Da Yard has infused hope and deliverance to countless souls. Along with YAHSpeak she has performed for dignitaries, icons and prized athletes - memorializing their lives and accomplishments. As a solo artist she earned first place in the 2012 Staten Island Gospel Fest in their spoken word category. Ever increasing, she has engrafted herself into YAHSpeak's vision to take their unique craft to Broadway and beyond.

Since joining the ministry, Minister Melissa has been blessed beyond measure. In the ministry she met and wed her soul mate, Minister Dominic Webb whom she married on June 29, 2013. Minister Dominic is also a writer and hip hop artist who seeks to win the masses with his pen. Together, they vow to change the world through anointed, spirit-filled art. Seeking excellence in all areas of her life, Minister Melissa went back to school and obtained her Associates Degree from Essex County College before matriculating at Montclair State University, where she is a deans-listed student, pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. With urgency in her spirit and won to the ministry's vision to create a New Newark, she relocated to the great city three years ago. Her son, D'Ante is enrolled in the Newark Public School System and attends Ridge Street School where he is a scholar and distinguished member of the 4th grade class. Likewise, D'Ante has grown into a spirited young child who also flourishes in the art of spoken word. He is a featured performer with Speak Up! - a youth spoken word ensemble also founded by Dr. Chris.

Minister Melissa is humbled daily at the grace of the Heavenly Father, YHWH Elohim and from whence He has brought her. She is forever grateful for the guidance of her spiritual father, friend and counselor, Bishop Pernell, his wife Pastor Pasha Pernell and siblings, Dr. Apostle Chris, Apostle Alison and Minister Tricia Brewster, who have encouraged and sown into her greatness. Alongside her Bet HaShem YHWH family, she seeks to love, labor and live life to the glory of Yahshua HaMoshiach.
